Dr. Drew Nagele is a Board Certified Rehabilitation Psychologist, trained in NeuroRehabilitation, with a 40 year career of creating and running brain injury rehabilitation programs for children, adolescents, and adults with acquired brain injury. Previously he has served as the Executive Director of Beechwood NeuroRehab, Director of Brain Injury Services for the Center for Neurological and Neurobehavioral Health (CNNH), Director of Rehabilitation at the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP), and Clinical Director at the Drucker Brain Injury Center at MossRehab.
Dr. Nagele has provided leadership in the field of brain injury, by serving on the Board of Directors of the Brain Injury Association of America, and was the Founding President of the Brain Injury Association of Pennsylvania. At BIAPA he currently serves as Site Principal Investigator and Co-Principal Investigator on 2 federal grants examining the efficacy of providing brain injury consultation in schools and in prisons. He also serves on the Board of Governors of BIAA’s Academy for the Certification of Brain Injury Specialists (ACBIS) where he is working on developing an advanced practice certification in NeuroRehabilitation. Dr. Nagele is a Clinical Professor at the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine teaching doctoral and post-doctoral trainees in Neuropsychology, Neuropathology, and Cognitive Rehabilitation.
Currently, he Co-Chairs the American Congress of Rehabilitation Medicine’s Pediatric and Adolescent Task Force. He is a contributor on that Task Force’s systematic review of pediatric cognitive rehabilitation, and Faculty for the Pediatric Cognitive Rehabilitation Training. He also serves on the Adult Cog Rehab Manual Faculty, and has presented the Manual training around the country and in Qatar. Dr. Nagele is a Fellow of the American Congress of Rehabilitation Medicine.
